My first night film
« on: August 24, 2006, 10:36:18 AM »
First I would like to thank everyone who helped mi in the forums. Without their help especially a certain german lady, I couldnt have got this far. I always loved the idea of a night film. This was fun to make and I learnt a huge amount, hopefully they will get better. Now we can make our own maps we are adjusting existing maps to suit a plot. Anyway a few people said that even though their brilliance and contrast was set up to the max the picture was too dark to watch. I dont know why it only affects a few but I put it through again in a lightened version. Thanks again guys.

dont want to be a jerk but you said suggestions

continuity

it was night for the majority of the movie then it started to have the sun rising on the horizon this goes on for about a minute then it goes right back to night time

if this was your plan sry

but it was pretty darn cool not many night films out there
Since tour 75

Did you view the first or the lightened one ??? the first was night into dawn but like I said some people couldnt see it so I brighted it. In doing so some of the clips reacted differently . Also I didnt know how to get the best out of the film by using the correct resolution and compression rates. The original version before the editing is crystal clear. I am already working on the next5 or 6 LoL   I am sure they will get better...Or at least I hope they do. Thanks for the comments.

jd007- nice work :).

I especially liked the soundtrack.  The intro with the snare drums building up to the take-off etc. was good.  Were both songs you had in the movie both from the 633 Squadron soundtrack?  (Dating ourselves a bit I'm sure hehe.  Not sure how many kids have seen that movie!).  I recognized the 2nd song but not sure if the 1st song was or not.

I also liked the effects you had with the maps as well.

that 633 movie suckes when compares to today's films.

but it was an okay film to watch once.  Maybe if they had more money and a different director, it could have been a great film.

Nice job James! And thanks for the Special Notice in the credits *blush*. That wouldnt have been neccessary.

I like the darker version better, but like Target prefer the music of the lighter one. For some reason BoB Theme seems a bit out of place.

Allow me one small nitpick: On the map (I guess its the winter Rhine) the name of the town is spelled wrong. It says Korstanz instead of Konstanz.
