Engine fires, a.k.a. "Mother F..."
« on: August 24, 2006, 06:40:17 PM »
I swear, ive had so many engine fires, and every time I try to put them out. Is it even possible?!? I start by imidiatly cutting power to the burning engine. I then enter as steep a dive as I can manage until my wings are about to fall off. And yet all that happens is the fire gets smaller. Its still there, and it continues to burn until I die. Is it even possible to put these fires out? Id figure that kind of dive, with the 'fuel' for the fire cut it should go out. Has anyone ever managed to put out an engine fire?

What, you mean that Zekes don't burn long enough once ignited as it is, and now you want them to be able to extinguish themselves?
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

There are no fire extinguisher capabilities at this time if ever.

So if you happen to be on fire, just ride it out and hope you can get some kills before the fire eats ya up.

Try flying low and slow then clipping that engine onto something, might shut it off

Or try just shutting that 1 engine down, dont know if that will kill the fire.

For a last resort, dive into the water :)
