One of my favorite driving experiences lately was a BMW 328i, with the sports package.

That thing was just flat-out fun.  Felt like you were getting into the cockpit of a 109, but yet even at 6'1" +, it felt like I was climbing into a comfortable glove.

I was taking flat, sharp corners at 75, and if I'd had a glass of water on the dash, I don't think the water would have sloshed anywhere.  And I can't drive my way out of a paper bag.

Actually for all you Euro folks, check out the latest 'vette.  Apparently the handling on these things is completely different than the 'vettes of yore.  AutoWeek really had some flattering things to say about it's cornering ability, and the performance numbers are amazing.

Someday...someday I'll have the car I want...maybe...

The 2 nicest cars I've driven were a '74 TA with a built 400, 4-speed, posi, 3.08 rear, would to about 105 in the 1/4 and top out around 150mph. Handled very nice. Stock WS6 (remember when they started putting the radial tuned suspension tag on the dash) suspension with Goodyear GT's and gas shocks. Torque, I love torque. Of all things the next best was a '72 Datson 510 I had all tricked out with dual SU's, cam, header, 10.5:1 compression, suspension kit, 14in rims with autocross tires (shaved sticky BF Goodrich's) very fun car. It would only do about 120mph but I sure made those Corvettes and Camaro's look silly when they thought it would be easy to take the off ramp at the same speed I did.
