heh, it is fun to see the difference in philosophy between US and European carmakers. Europeans, such as Porsche and Ferrari, jaguar and so forth (well, European in origin, even if it's mostly US owned now
) go for highly sophisticated, relatively light weight, aerodynamically sound cars with good handling and a relatively powerful engine.
Americans do it the American way; they apply the principle of "if you put enough hp on a brick, it'll fly" approach. One typical American trait I've found is a devotion to sheer power, and cars is really just an expression hereof
. They'd rather take an extra 150 hp and a cruel arse look than some fancy smancy designer stuff.
