Main Arena Play
« on: August 26, 2006, 06:33:38 PM »
my first 2weeks in this game in the main arena were kinda mixed.i watched as 10 players chased 1 enemy player around a field.the 10 players let the enemy player fly up to another countryman who was landing and never even gave the guy landing a warning.what kind of game play is that?does anyone know?

its just strange to me that someone would play that way,and its not just one country i saw that on all three countries.alot of players fly the same aircraft and always attemp headon shots all day long.other than that the basic premise of it all was very fun.

You have some good and bad days sweet.

If you did decide to play for longer than 2 weeks every now and again (maybe once a month)  you will have an awesome fight with someone and come out on top those moments for me are worth the months sub alone.

I've had 3 vs 1's before and killed every last one of them and thats what keeps me addicted is the fact that you don't know what is going to happen from one day to the next.....

Try and stay out of the big furballs because that is what people will do HO or gangbang pick your own fights for awhile and don't up capped bases!

thanks for the words bruv but it still doesnt explain why people treat each other that way in a video game.

Im afraid people lost their respect for another human being and even more so  on the internet.

Dont let thatz discourage you Sweet. From what ive seen (and ive been here for almost 2 years now) this is a fairly good commuinity. Youll see whining and flames and swearing and bad apples. But if ship comes to shore, things add up. People here are (mostly) good - and so are the fights.

Just dont ever EXPECT the MA to be a "fair fight" place. It isnt. And it never will be. But that doesnt mean you can happen across class acts and respectful behaviour in the Main. And this is even more true for the rest of the online arenas.

ONly advice i can give you: Stay true to yourself adn your own "rules of conduct". Dont expect others to follow those though (avoids dissapointment). Youll find out your "common souls" soon enough.

If you ever catch me online, dont hesitate to PM me. Ill be glad to go a few 1 vs 1 fair fights with you, be it in Main or Duelling Arena.

I know exactly what you mean, Sweet2th. The other day, as a distraction, I played some UT. I was apalled to see that a few members of one team had one guy from another team pretty well trapped. When they didn't immediately kill him, I felt a warm tingle that I think was hope, and love for mankind. Obviously, they all knew that they had him, and the jig was up. I figured they'd chat, have a cup of tea, and let the poor guy go.

Imagine my surprise when didn't let him go, but instead, shot his head off. SHOT IT CLEAN OFF ZOMG WFT ??!1!?! I was sick to my stomach, and cried for hours afterwards. It is apalling to see how far we've regressed when it comes to violent games.

Its either a kid trying to be a tough guy, or an angry old man trying to make up for something. Its everywhere. Ignore it and have fun.

the MA has a personality all its own ... It varies thru-out a 24 hr period and changes during  time of the month .  Two weeks isnt really enough time to get to know it and find your fav time nitch.
I myself like the just after Primetime US hours (300 or less players) you can ussually find alittle of everything going on wether it be gv battles to base captures to furballs to 1 vs 1's with some1 you know .  :D
