Great gobs of used Spitfire parts...now all I need is an original set of La-5FN blueprints and I'm good to go!  :cool:

Just noticed your upper wing art shows the outer fuel filler caps for the older 5 tank (early La5F) set up.

the La5FN may have had some early 5 tank models but your Sept 43 would definately have the 3 tank set up modelled in AH.

Actually the outer tanks drained into the centre tank which fed the engine (not three separate feeds as AH models)

I wondered about that...the plans I have said it was an FN model, but it seemed to have a few fuel caps too many.  Another in a long line of potential errors.

I glued the outboard cap shut and sent the skin in.  It still needs work, but so does the model as a whole and I'm not sure I want to spend another 8 or 10 hours making it perfect when it will all have to be done again anyway.

Once the La-5 is updated I'll spend the time to make this as perfect as possible.  Until then if this is rejected for anything but reversed print (a matter of turning off two layers) I'll probably put the whole project on hold for the new version.
