wile flying map of the earth I noticed the drones on the B-26's keep around 100 to 150 ft above what ever your flying at. this makes it hard to avoid dar and sneek up on the bases.

Actually that doesn't have anything to do with dar. Dar only works when you hit 500 feet. Drones only do that for about the last 100feet or so down to the deck. You're safe from radar.

I do agree, however, that it's aesthetically unpleasing.

Well I was flying a low attack over the ocean from one base to another and the drones flew about 100 to 150 ft above me the whole way I was around 50 ft. off the water most of the time and when I pulled up off the runway the drones turn with ya most of the time but last night they would wait untill they got over the hill at the end of the runway then turn I was turnning as soon as I go off of the runway. It was just weird to look back and see the drones flying over me wile over the water.

Drones don't go into formation till the lead bomber is over 200' agl.
