Finally a lawsuit worth something!  The city owes him his car back, and for his trouble, free registration for the life of the car.

I'm guessing he didn't have the car registered or have his registration with him. Even so, they owe him a car, maybe a new one.

I've travelled thru 49 states. Maryland and Virginia are the worst, most unprofessional LEO's I've seen. It's close to Russia in the old days.

At some point you would think they knew he was actually the owner of the car he was driving. At that point he should have been released, all charges dropped and his vehicle returned along with a polite apology.

Instead, they drag the case into court and sell a *stolen* vehicle, which is a crime in itself.
