Got these from a female friend of mine. I can certify the validity of a few of them, but not all.

At any rate, they're funny

"Mars is essentially in the same orbit...Mars is somewhat the same distance from the Sun, which is very important.  We have seen pictures where there are canals, we believe, and water. If there is water, that means there is oxygen. If oxygen, that means we can breathe."

"The Holocaust was an obscene period in our nation's history. I mean in this century's history. But we all lived in this century. I didn't live in this century."

StSanta,

I have heard tape of him saying at least three of those quotes. So I would unfortunatley have to say that the rest are real as well. In fact he did another one yesteraday that I caught on the news. I think he must have bitten his tounge and it swelled to large for his mouth. He sounded a lot like daffy duck when he gets exited. Or maybe he is Dan Quayle on crack? Or maybe a cross between Yogi Berra and Jerry Lewis, or was that Yogi Bear instead?

Anyway we may be stuck with the mumbling, bumbling, stumbling George Doubleya. God help us all.

You don't get it. Bush could be a deaf mute and govern this country better than self serving gore. He's lost and still won't give it up. gore is busy planning his presidential run by dividing the country with the media's help. Yeah, right, gore really cares about this country......

StSanta,
Those are Dan Qualye quotes.

People who have wanted to slander Bush or Gore regulary distribute Qualye quotes that they attribute to their target of disfavor.

Well, LOL regardless. Except the NASA quoute, which actually makes sense, as NASA doesn't work with the space program exclusively.

StSanta, Bush recently stated that he was `Mis-under-estimated'...hehe. Don't bring up the fact that Bush was AWOL from the military for over a year either. I agree with you Straffo, I liked Reagan for his strong defense policies (But his economics sucked), and Clinton definitely knew what he was doing in terms of running the country (hey, he saved the F-22, and anyone strong on Aerospace is OK with me). Unfortunately, I think both Gush and Bore are a waste. I just think `Bore' was the least likely to screw it up. You have to understand straffo, most Americans base their choices on what they are told or `believe', and not the records of the candidates. I have yet to see a Politician that wasn't a crook (Clinton lied about sex, Bush Sr. lied about Iran Contra, etc). So don't try to make sense of it, just sit back and enjoy the show. Oh, and I don't make the millions of dollars a year required to get a tax cut. Everytime someone made it into office on a tax cut basis, my taxes went up. But you are from France straffo, so you know all about taxes.

This isn't a Bush quote, but a journo's comment.

"...Gore's stiff stance is going to make it difficult for him to enter the Oval Office."

I ain't ever heard it called the 'Oval Office' before.

Think Clinton just lied about sex?

A couple years back is was disclosed that he received millions from the Chinese for his re-election bid. We all asked ourselves "why would they do that?"

Then we found out the Chinese walked right through security at Los Alamos, taking with them missile secrets. Coincidence? C'mon!

Anyone that has the nerve to wag his finger right into all our faces and tell a lie that is bound to be found out certainly has the nerve to go behind our backs and sell our butts right down the river.

Maybe our choice is between a liar and an idiot. Know something? I'd rather have the idiot. The idiot can surround himself with good people and do a good job. The liar will surround himself with more liars.

Bush is no angel. The big difference is he doesn't deny his past. Clinton? He didn't inhale, he didn't dodge the draft, he doesn't know how 800 FBI files magically appeared in his office, he didn't have sex with that woman... and when it was all said and done, our fine Mr. Gore put his hand on Mr. Clinton's shoulder on a cold, December day and said "He is undoubtedly one of the greatest Americans in history."

Hmmm.... let's see... his lie not only cost the American people over $40 million, he allowed the lives of several of his loyal people be destroyed to protect his own butt.

"But that wasn't Gore!" Yes it was, by association. Gore in no way denounced the behavior, in fact built Clinton up after their "victory parade" around the Whitehouse following the impeachment. Gore wants the credit for everything good in the last 8 years, but seems to have us believe he didn't know anything bad happened because, after all, he was just a Vice President and wasn't involved.

You see, I can't separate the two. One serpent, two heads is the way I see it.

Oh, and let's not forget my favorite Gore line of all...

"No legal binding authority".

As jaded as I am, my mouth dropped open when I watched him utter those words. He in effect was saying "Sure, I did it. F**k you, you can't do anything about it."
