That’s a lot of work for nothing; you don’t need the fusing.  Take a coffee can and fill it with bottle rockets.  Light one and drop it in pointed down; its flame will light others.  The heat from the fuses and motors will start a chain reaction and they will all go off.
On a larger scale you can do the same thing with sky rockets.  I worked in the fireworks industry for a decade.  One year we had several cases of large 8 oz skyrockets that were water damaged.  We couldn’t sell them, but I figured they would probably still work.  I filled a large box with hundreds of these rockets and lit the whole lot of them with just one rocket pointed down.
