Sandy, I belive most people are habitual about their parking spaces and you might be able to spot the offending vehicle tomorrow or next week.  I feel for ya though, I have had that happen a few times (4) and they were all on base, lucky for me 1 the guy actually came in the clinic and looked for me to let me know he hit my car.  The 2nd one, my 1st wife was sitting in the car and the guy backed his truck in to the side of my car 3 times as he tried to get out of the parking lot ( yes he backed into it and then pulled forward and backed into it again, 3 times, he only stopped because friends ran to the driver's side and told the guy it wasnt a speed bump) :lol

It's a small office and I know everyone that typically parks in the spots near me.

I don't believe for a second that any people I know and work with are responsible.

I bet there's some sort of surveillance camera on the lot. Ask the SP's.
I don't know if they make them for Jap trucks or not, but I'd reccomend a Ranch Hand bumper. There's not a truck in the oilfield without one around here.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

Get an ARB.

BTW, the 2006 Xtrerra is a fully boxed frame and Sandy's is a Ladder frame and not unibody.   The ARB's are designed to shore up the frame in front of the front crossmember.   An ARB is bulletproof.  I believe they are around $800 for an Xterra.   A few of the guys in the club have them, I wish they made em for the CJ7, I'd buy one.

Storch you can't go around hitting other cars.  You're going to get yourself in trouble.

So when they pull over after you "rub" them, do you pull over too, or just leave?

I'm not so sure "it wasn't a hit and run, it was a rub and run" would fly to the cop/court.

Thanks for the tip. I've been reading through the Xterra forums. Couple of guys there that have ARBs are saying they would go with Shrock given the choice again. I've got some time to make a decision.

I pull over if there is a need to, most times people would just gesture.  again it's a rub not a hit.  the ones that would really want to kill me are the soccer moms.  they are by far the most aggressive and unforgiving all while they hold up traffic putting on makeup and simulataneously talking on a mobile phone.  You guys mean to say there is no rubbing occurring where you live?  It's pretty common here.

clearly you guys don't know what a rub is.  one car is stationary with the driver distracted or whatever the car behind (me) releases the clutch slowly for a soft tap, a rub usually but not always under 5mph. the one that I messed my bumper and A/C line on was on another pickup and probably at 3mph.  the fords could handle it the toyotas don't seem to be able to.If you've never experienced one don't worry one will be coming to your town soon.  in fact try it yourself it's fun.
