How about letting them find their way like everyone else has. Also where is this attititude coming from lately that the noobs will not survive unless the omnipotent vets guide their every step. If you made it through okay I got news for you.... Everybody else can too.
Plus who the hell are you to decide what the right foot is? Not everybody that's new is a sheep and wants to be assigned to a training squad where guys like you tell them whats right and wrong based on your taste of flying.
How about leaving them alone , letting them enjoy the game and not trying to impose your ideas of what game play should be on them?
One reason the MA arena is more populated then the AVA or special events flying, is the freedom of choices. Start taking peoples chioces away as soon as they come in the door, they won't stay long.
