I never did understand the hostilities some "veteran" players display towards new players but in certain cases it can be a motivator.  the ill treatment I was subjected to as a noob served as a motivator to improve.  while I still have a way to go and may never actually attain AHII nirvana the desire for revenge in the arena and on the bbs is a strong driving force.  there have been a few tormentors from those early days in 2003 whom I have gleefully spanked at every opportunity.  maybe one day I'll get to meet them in person as well.

I can honestly say I've not met with any hostility.  Sure there were some jabs here and there but I'm a net board vet so there's very little I take offense to.  99% of all of the people I've met so far have been very helpful and friendly.  One or two have taken jabs but I'm almost impossible to offend on an internet message board.
