Ok, so im playing Aces High, and i get shot down (nothing new for me), and so i click in the hanger to switch planes.  Then i click on something in hanger, can't remember what, and the game crashes (also nothing new for me, it happens sometimes).  Then i try to restart the game, and the update loading thing happens.  and i give it about 5 mins or so and come back to check on it, and its done.  So i click log in and i start to go to main areana and so its loading the thingy, and when its about done, it crashes :huh .   So i try it again, and the same thing happens.  Then i do a restore point after trying a few more times.  So it restarts and all that, and i try it again and it crash same place.  Again, same thing :cry so now im lost, any ideas would be helpful.

Thank You  =  )

The first thing anybody's going to want to know are your machine specs, mainly processor, memory and graphics card. Sound cards can be the source of some problems too. You'll  also be asked to post a dxdiag. Go to Start, then Run and type "dxdiag". Copy and paste about the first third of that into a message here. The whole thing isn't needed and won't all fit in one message anyway. Then we can help you diagnose things.

Cole, after the dxdiag has done its deal, click on "Save information as". This will prompt you for a location to save the test result to, in txt format. You can then copy/paste it from there.

What we need is about the first third of the report. (System specs, display device, sound device etc).
21 is only half the truth.

Hmmm. Bear in mind that I don't have firsthand experience with every configuration one could possibly have, but I think the source of most of the problem is probably going to be with the Intel graphics adapter. The 512 mb RAM is a bit on the low end but should work in and of itself. Others will comment on the specifics of your graphics card I'm sure, but if you haven't already done so set all of your in-game graphics options to the lower available settings and see if you get any different results. Set your screen rez as low as the game will allow too. If lower settings make a difference you can try tweaking the settings a little higher, a bit at a time, and see if you can get better performance without crashing. But again, I think the Intel graphics adapter is going to be the biggest source of problems.

Ok first of all, i cant get in the map, to do anything about the settings.  And the other thing is,how much is a new Intel graphics adapter going to cost me?

When you start the game, one of the choices is video settings. Open that, and make sure both preload check boxes are NOT checked. Texture size should be on 256, but you may have to try 128. click the ok and then try going into the game again and see if it still crashes.

64 meg video card is on the low end, and 512 megs of ram is barely enough to run XP, so your hurting there. Even tho your on the low end, you should still be able to run the game.
