And aren't you just a little bit ashamed that you're defending and justifying the use of torture whilst "someone that lives in China, with China's human rights record" is telling you that its use by the newly US-installed Iraqi government does indeed "show Americans or Bush in a bad light"?

Besides which, it's somewhat of an ad straw hominen: torture is illegal in my little special administrative region corner of China -- Guantanamo SOP and "extraordinary rendition" (out-sourced torture) included.

Try not to antagonize people on here too much.  They might report you :p

Oh well that makes it perfectly acceptable then.

It's not acceptable to me personally.

However, it IS an acceptable method in certain parts of the world. By acceptable I mean, acceptable to the gov't or the people in general of a particular country.

We've never seen US tanks rolling over US students have we?

How does that show the US in a bad light? The US can train the Iraqis for years in modern interrogation techniques but if the Iraqis dont use that knowledge and instead, choose to use torture....that's all the fault of the US and we now look bad? :lol

You can lead a horse to water, but you CANT make him drink.

I am rarely ashamed over events that I have no control over. This is one of those things I have no control over.

Like it or not, Hong Kong is now a part of Communist China. Trying to distance yourself from the Communist gov't would be like me trying to say. I live in the US, but in MY little corner in Colorado we have our special rules so what the US gov't does cant be blamed on me.

Riiiight. Taking pictures of semi-nude or nude prisoners equates to physical torture. That must be why the prisoners begged the Americans to either not leave, or take the prisoners with them.
