How to get "safe landing" vs. "ditched"
« on: September 14, 2006, 03:42:22 PM »
A newbee question:
In the MA I've made good landings, taxied off the runway  :D ,
cut the engine and then hit "end sortie" ... But the host always
says that I ?"DITCHED!   I don't quite know how that affects my
score, but it can't be good.

So, what's the procedure to get a "landed safely

Thats your fault. Donīt taxi off the runway. You will get a safe landing is you end sortie while still on runway or any other concrete / pavement. Roll onto grass and you will get ditched.
If you are on runway, itīs also unimportant if you landed  using your gear or if you did a belley-landing
