Hmm, the "customer is always right"? Time will tell and since this same kind of tripe is trotted out each time HTC makes a major change.....my money is on them. :)

Aw was sinking when it was bought by EA.  Why EA bought it I have no idea.  There must have been some elements of the company they wanted.

Moogy and Mage (SP?).  I still remember their high handed approach to things.

I have suffered through the softening of the Buffs and the Buff guns.  I adapted and over came them.  I learned the old and present bomb calibration method.

I love the massive multi-player environment.  I see this whole change as an attempt to soften and breakup the massive community so that CT will be a hit.

I did my 20 in the USAF.  I have no desire to pretend to do it again in a massive multi-player role playing game.

I have been here since 2001 and perhaps a little longer before my registration in the forums.

I may not be here much longer.

Perhaps CT is AH's version of the AW Vietnam.

My $15 may will not impact the bottom line.  I times a couple of hundred will.

Final word.  Nuff said.  No longer monitoring this forum or any others.

CT isn't aimed at us. CT is supposed to attract a different playerbase, but since ignoring all official statements from HTC is a popular way to support misguided opinions, I don't know why I bothered.

Ironic that someone would try to bring AW into this argument since AW had segemented arenas since the day they decided to run Half-time and Real-time concurrently. Probably the highwater mark for AW financially came on AOL when there was at least 7-8 different main arenas running.

The critical flaw with the old MA was that there was no reason for HTC to add any more planes...it would be a waste of development time creating future hanger queens that would be unable to displace any of the preferred late war models that were the choice weapons of the horde.

Now HTC has more flexibility, it actually moves AH farther back towards a 'sim' rather than game. It allows more of a focus on historical matchups and allows more aircraft to shine. It creates MAs that support skill development by aircraft that players can take back into the future CT. It will also create more tactical options by era if the 'strat' guys would stop their bleating long enough to think about it.

EA bought it to get into the online gaming business....Gamestorm.

Moggy wasn't high handed. He simply had a low tolerance for stupidity. :D
