Falcnwing, I never had any real trouble with you in the past, but now you're just acting like a complete and total *******.
Oldman doesn't make the AvA suck, but you and your ilk definitely made the MA suck. Cancel your account, tell your whiny squadmates who've also melted down to do the same, and all of you just go the hell away already.
Falcnwing's shot at Oldman was definitely out of line. Then again, that is the first time I remember seeing Oldman take a cheap shot at anyone. I honestly don't understand all the gloating about the fact that some people's enjoyment of the game has been negatively impacted. Can't you all be happy that your enjoyment will increase without the childish teasing of those who believe this was a bad idea?

Go to another arena when the one you want to be in is full.....hmmmmmm.....reminds me of Air Warrior. Did I REALLY want to be in WWI planes? Limits on arena size punish large squads. Since Shillelalagh is lucky to have 3 on at the same time it won't hurt us. Now what are the LTARS going to do????????

No doubt this "punishes" large squads - at least so far. Things may level out over time. I've tried to explain before to Lazs and others why their "furball" was not the game for me 100% of the time. A big part of that explanation is that I enjoy teamwork and cooperation with others. To me, that is the easiest way to explain why large squads exist. If you have a weird schedule and can't always be on at certain times, large squads are bound to have
somebody in your squad online when you can show up. So you can enjoy the teamwork aspect at any time. I suspect that is why the BOPs are 90+ members.
And I admit that I initially hit the panic button myself. My first view on Wednesday was of a packed arena and three nearly empty ones. So, with the number limits so low, a large squad either can't get all into the same arena for the teamwork we enjoy, or we end up dominating the numbers in a nearly empty arena with few if any willing to oppose. So, I saw it as making hording
worse, not better. And it did make matters worse since HTC had not at that time adjusted ENY to kick in with less than 200 players.
Small arenas will have difficulty handling large squads. I think everyone recognizes that. Some might break up. It remains to be seen if that was part of HTCs thinking, or even entered his thinking at all. I susbect the latter.
As for the LTARs, for now the plan is to go with the flow as much as possible. We will play our game like we always have, and see what shakes out -- and will adjust as necessary to keep it fun.
See some of you in the skies
-- sadly, not as many of you as I saw last week.
