I dont know, The Simpsons are losing their charm the few last months, they are trying to make Homer TOO stupid and its not natural like before.

Thank god FUTURAMA is running strong. And Malcom in the Middle is also very good.

The Simpsons is still great in my book, but I can't argue with Animal.  If anyone knows stupid, it's him!

How about an AH related quote:

When Homer is watching TV and tunes to the history channel:

"Ah.. the Luftwaffe, the Senators of the History Channel".

The refference is to the team that always loses to the Harlem Globetrotters (700+ times in a row).

hehehe "Do you know who I am?..." (Loved that G Bush S episode) and I still crack up everytime I see Mr Burns. We prolly getting 1 year old episodes here so, It's still not "worn out" here. I like "Futurama" pretty much as well.

It was the Washington Generals.  Harlem Globetrotters reference.
"This just in, no less than 3 of the Harlem Globetrotters have been implicated in a point-shaving scandal!"
---
"I got a better idea! Let's have a fun run! on his trachea!"

The Carrier, the S.S. "Sea Spanker" was featured last night.
I hear you guys.  There are some dud episodes; and some so-so ones.  But then you hit one like last night's, with the inexplicable gunfight between the hippies on the giant praying mantis and a group of young navy recruits, men getting flowers in their eyes and dying horribly, and, well, there's no better TV out there.

I'll have to say I still think it's worth tuning in every Sunday night.

I think the reason the writing stays so strong, and by all rights probably shouldn't be by now, is the constant input of new highly-talented folks, mostly it seems from the Harvard Lampoon.

Some senior writers go on to other things, but the folks they're replaced by are as funny as they were, only not quite as well-known.

I think by this ongoing changing-of-the-guard, but changing with equally talented, well-educated, and completely twisted people is what keeps the quality up, when by all rights it should have lagged a long time ago.

I'll have to say the hippies, praying mantis, and deadly daisies did it for me too.

Yvan eht nioj!

You're right.. it was the Washington Generals.. DOH!  Still liked the line

One of my favorites that I use all the time at home:

Homer: WOOOHOOO!
Marge: I don't know Homer, it sounds kinda risky.
Homer: <cross look and very serious tone>I said "woo hoo".

I also enjoy some quotes from a show called "The Critic".  My personal favorite:

The Critic: I am a slave to no one!
His stomach: What about me?
The Critic: Except for you master
His stomach: Good! Now dance for me!

One of my all time favorite cartoons is the Tick. Just something about a guy who has "Spoon!" for a battlecry.

I think actually the Simpsons have gotten better, alot of the material now is so obscure that it makes it past the censores . I do however miss the antics of Matthew on "Talk Radio" .

Ah yes, some great quotes...

But who said "Now remember, if something should go wrong, let's not get the law involved.  One hand washes the other...  Oh, that reminds me!"?

He is imo the funniest character of them all (next to Troy McClure).
