to install MS svc pk 2 or not?
« on: September 16, 2006, 11:41:16 AM »
So, that's the question. I'm running XP, on a totally fresh install, and I'd like opinions as to whether AH runs better without downloading service pack 2, or if it actually matters. Thanks for the help.

I don't see much differance, SP-2 has better security but some othe issues as well.  Main thing is to load all of the MS update. :noid

I have a SB sound card that says it requires service pack 2,  sure enough once I installed the service pack it (the sound card) ran much "smoother" and several "issues" went away.:aok

You definately want to install SP2 and all the security updates after that as well.  Youy are wide open to various worms and viruses without it.
