exactly eagler!  The only reason I watched the movie is because the shot's of tomcats in the trailer!

This movie wasnt about the naval academy...it was about boxing, and could have been put in any other setting, and still pushed the same morals....

trust me...if you are considering watching this movie, DONT!

A message came out last year about this movie.

The Navy flat out refused to allow it to be filmed at the Naval Academy. Sailors were forbidded to endorse the film in any way...Hell it seemed like they didn't even want us to go see it.

What is it about..If it puts the Navy in any kind of bad light, then I can understand. Movies shouldn't be made that portray our armed forces in a negative way.

ASTAC...The catch line in the trailer is..."He has to get past "ONE" man, his CO to become a leader....

The star attacks his CO twice...

He also dates one of the officers from Annapolis as a pleab...

It is the most unaccurate, terrible depiction of a USMA ever!

and its funny you say that Annapolis wouldnt allow any filming on the grounds, because I pointed out during the movie last night, that I thought the only "real" shot of Annapolis during the movie, was from across a river...lmao, that movie was so gay

Not only that, we were forbidden to see the movie in uniform.

Yeah, is a bad, bad movie.

Oh yea, that ones is a stinker alright.

"Tears of the Sun" is another ****.. Bruce Willis is a 45 year old Lt  who disobeys orders, gets his long hair pretty boy-troop KIA, and falls in love... all while being chased through the Jungle.

What really pissed me off was the portrayal of insubordination throughout the film...Pleab's challenging officers...not following orders, and attacking officers!  sure does give a bad rap to the military, cuz you can bet your bottom dollar, most people who see that think they are seeing how it really is

Looked like a must miss to me all the times I've been in the video store. I took it to be a blatant Redux of "Officer and a Gentlemen" with "Top Gun" elements that wasn't nearly up to the standard of the originals.

Bleh.

Anyone got an actual must see? All the movies I've seen that I enjoyed recently were made many moons ago (planning to watch Breaker Morant for the 300th time on Monday for instance).

"Team America" is an offensively hilarious must see, an equal opportunity offender.

The speech at the end about dicks, pu^^ies and a-holes is actually brilliant in its own way.. and they way they make fun of Alec Baldwin, Matt Damon, Sean Penn and a few others from the Film Actors Guild, or F.A.G, man... too funny.
