I believe it has been taken into account, yes.

Of course, I could be wrong, but Hurrys are always troublesome to disable for me and all I have heard from.

Aiming for a wing never gets you anywhere fast. My Grandfather used to tell me tales of coming home in his Hurry with multiple holes in his wings as big as large grapefruits.

I find aiming at the cockpit works :t

Even if he DOES survive, that pilot wound will get him sooner or later!

The hurricane and the jug are, in my experience, 2 of the hardest planes to bring down in a fight, and that would seem to reflect their reputations.

And I was being sarcastic about the 20mm comment. A cannon round will eviscerate a human being. If you blew up, you either took a lot of damage, and the final rounds were the killing blow, or you caught one in the bucket.

Nope. I had entered the fight only seconds before, and took no previous damage. I just dont see how I could have died! It was an early spit (V I think, maybe a I, it was the early war arena) and I only took two hits in the tail. Granted, my cockpit was oriented twoard his guns, but the hits and damage seemed confined to my extreme tail.

Did you record it? It's possible you were killed by somebody you didn't see. Happens all the time.

Reynolds, I think you missed what some of the guys said-

If you (the pilot) are shot dead, not just pilot wounded, your plane just explodes. That is the way it is modeled in the game

The only time I ever take one in the engine and it shuts down immediately (dead engine) is when I am being a ho-ing bass-tard and I get out shot on the ho.  Hhhhummm... something to think about.... strategy -- no more ho-s:aok :rofl

i've only flown in the early war room, so i can only speak of this room..
tried the 190a5 everything seemed normal and fine
tried the 109f didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but my engine did smoke from 1 ping.
tried the hurri2c im sure this plane is set to practice room settings.. i lit up plane after plane with no kills..

if they have messed around with the setting i wish they would turn them back. because if they have then they must have been wrong in the old MA or they are wrong now.. just don't seem consistant..

i do like the 3 rooms ..but early set souyld be pre 1941

Is this like the flight models that have been correct and accurate for the past 4 years, but somehow they change after every patch?

Please explain how damaged elevators kills a pilot.

And no, I wasnt recording. But there were only two guys in the vicinity, I was high enough up to see, and the other wasnt near enough to me.

If you are accurately describing the situation, your little meatlump took a direct hit. If you were not killed by a canopy shot, then you are likely not describing the situation accurately. I'm unaware of 2 hits (even from a hizooka)being able to outright blow a plane up without killing the pilot, and I've been a Hurritard for ages. If there's some other situation that would mirror what you describe, I have not idea what it could be.

Tin, where did you grandfather serve?

I am acurately describing it. And now you know why I am saying "WTF?!?"
