Calling all Spitfire XIV Pilots
« on: September 19, 2006, 12:33:12 PM »
Pilots are needed, to fly the  Spitfire XIV    against the   TA 152   In the Coming Event, " RUMBLE III, 2006 ".

This is a Single Life / Single Frame Team Event, currently scheduled for October 6th, 2006, at 9 PM EST, in the Special Events Arena.

The rules are simple :  KILL THE ENEMY BEFORE THE ENEMY KILLS YOU !!  No Holds barred, no restrictions, fight till one of ya dies  style combat.  The set up has 6 outer "Cages", with a specific Plane Match in each Cage.  Each cage has two airbases, one for you, and one for the enemy.  When you kill all of the Enemy Aircraft, inside your Cage, all surviving Aircraft move into the Central Cage, to decide the Ultimate Winning Side.

By the Way, did I mention this event has actual prizes ?? HTC has agreed to pass out 5000 Perkies to the Winners.

Hurry to the Special Events Page http://ahevents.org/site/content/view/112/160 for RUMBLE III, 2006, AND REGISTER FOR THE SIDE YOU LIKE AND THE PLANE YOU WANT TO FLY !!

This is in no way a critique of the setup you are running, more of a critique of HTC's flight modeling, but the Ta152 is dogmeat to a spit14, for the most part. :)

I signed up already for allied. Im a truely dedicated experienced spit pilot. Before AH2, in ah1 when the spit 14 was the a6m of high speeds, I could manage just about anything in it, its still a great plane and im ready to serve : P

SpitXIV vs. 109K-4 would be a better match.  Acceleration, Climb, Turn and Speed all go to the SpitXIV until 30K+, then it just gives up Speed to the Ta-152.  Only an expert 152 pilot can give a good fight to a SpitXIV.

And who was that comment directed to furbby. My keyboard is slightly broken, no shift, alt keypad keys and esc needs to be hit twice.

thats because the flag on the british fairmile is a Royal Navy Ensign, just like the one in their avatar.

What a good idea, a plane that can't turn and is modeled with a weak engine... vs a plane with a good engine and can turn on a dime.

Let the ho's begin.

Oh man that will be the shortest fight ever.

The Ta-152 sucks a little bit more than a jar full of ass, but only a little bit.
