Aces High Citizen of The Year Award
« on: September 20, 2006, 09:49:29 PM »
Permit me to pause for a moment the endless banter, pro & con, with respect to the arena reconfiguration.

In all seriousness, I'd like to acknowledge a member of the Aces High community.

This person is usually the first, or one of the first to reply to a new, and sometimes long standing  AH subscriber who post questions in the Help & Training forum.

This person is a worthy opponant who always offers a no matter what the outcome is.

This person, prior to being an "official" trainer, used to and still does now as an member of the Aces High Training Corps, spend numerous hours in various arenas helping noobs get their' planes off the runways, configuring their' joysticks, working throught the VOX issues and all the other issues we all confronted the first couple of days we played Aces High.

This person never gripes, always professes a positive outlook and in my book, is a always a CLASS ACT.

This person is Schatzi.

Can I get an AMEN for Schatzi as the AH Citizen of The Year?

I'd consider Max or Silat for this as well, both being class acts, but this is the Citizen of the Year award.  I'll start one for Senoir Citizen of the Year award.

:p

Schatzi  ,,, good choice for most helpfull.
Silat ,,, Runs a joystick for the needy program ,  is always willing to call to help.
Widewing ,,, the encyclopidia on legs .

An honorable  mention needs to go to Dux and the terrain team , they help run the underground side of AH ,they put in lots of hours that the rest of you dont see.

Then we have Skuzzy , For tripping over cords , putting up with the whole gang, and general mischief .... :D

The term "no brainer" was coined for just this nomination.  Schatzi is one of the most fun, friendly, and honorable people on either side of an engagement.

About being helpful in learning to fly?  Well, I guess so, except that in my case, all the lessons ended up with me looking up at her from the ground as I gathered up my chute for the long walk home.

Salute Schatzi!!!
