Killed pilot X tonight. I'll refrain from using his real name, out of respect for the person. Was flying a squad mission to a base (in buffs) when I heard over squad channel "Pilot X just killed me". I immediately sounded off on squad channel "Pilot X is on the scene, watch your 6, he's damned good!".
Been playin this game for 5 -6 years, AW before that, and I've always had the utmost respect for this pilot's ability to skillfully surgically slice and dice a set of buffs.............rarely ever taking a hit (from my guns anyhow). I've lost count the number of times being shot down by "X". But always sent a Salute, out of respect for his skill level.
As soon as Pilot X came into view I knew he'd seen me and I was about to suffer the same fate as usual. I advised my other squad member not to worry, he was caming to kill me, and knowing who it was...........my death would be long and painful.
Normally when this pilot attacks, he's high above, takes his time, picks his perfect angle of attack, dives, and removes vital parts....slowly but surely. Final result always the same.
Tonight however was different, for the first time ever I watched as he dived, and for some unknown reason to me, he dove straight in on my 6 (I'm flying B24's), and closed to within 400. Without much difficulty I was able to light Pilot X up, and shoot him down (to my absolute surprise, first time ever).
What surprised me even more was the negative response Pilot X shot across channel 200, after being downed. This surprised me even more than the shoot down. I immediately responded back to Pilot X, over 200,.............with a Salute. Ya see he still hasn't lost my respect for his skills as a pilot, and I figure this kill HAD to be a fluke.............he either spilled his coffee or cold drink in his lap and when he looked up

wrong place to be..............The Red Baron is finally dead. Hopefully you get the coffee stains out Pilot X, and until the next time>>>>>>>Salute.
