If WW1 were added...

i never realized the siemens schuckert d-iv was a V-strutter.
i wonder if it had the same diving problems that other V-strut planes (Albatros & Nieuports) had.
too bad teh old wing-with-wires board is gone
as for it being the 262 of WWI, there were faster fighters (Ansaldos, SE5) and more heavily armed ones (Sopwith Dolphins zOMG quad 0.303 = pwnage!!!).

And I want an Airship. One that can recover scout fighters. And yes, this was done.

might be fun to charge perks to carry more ammo belts for the guns :)

and HT could model zeppelins just like carriers, but with a better control system, perhaps even when you take command of one you can get into the bridge :) if we got airships, HT could probably take the 'flight model' from them, and alter it for use by submarines, which would be very cool :)

Player flown, highly perked. To make it worth while for every friendly plane recovered you get like.... .80% of his perk points. No one can take it from you like a CV, there are some maching guns mounted for defense, plus all of your scout fighters... and people would launch from them because that way you can launch friendly fighters at 10k above everyone else! They have the E advantage the minute they take off! Plus, it would be wicked aweseome to land on a Zeppelin, and to land the zeppelin itself! But first we would need to model those aircraft which had the little hook to latch on.

been playing crimson skies have we reynolds???

zeppelins weren't like big aircraft carriers, they were recon platforms, and sometimes carried a few bombs. would be fun to strfe em with tracer rounds though, big fireball :D

If i had been engineer back than id construct a huge zeppelin with a pass through hangar in the middle where planes can land and take off in for refuling. Get them already some alt on take off :).

Can anchor the zeppelin hanging in the wind and connect a 4 km fuel hose from the ground to pump up fuel....

hehe, it would have been cool :) would have been hard to keep the thing in the air though, and one lucky shot punching through the gas bags would bring an entire squadron to the ground, so i think they made the right choice ;)

if by "better control system" you mean the ability to steer it in real time rather than setting courses, then i think you are on to something.

Yeah, I know, but we havnt limited the number of AC that can launch/recover from our CVs now, so why limit them on the Zepplin. I know they only carried 2-4, maybe 6 at most, but knowing the way on-line video games work, they would be unlimited if this were done.

you are mistaken, their only role was bombing. and they were harder to shoot down than is commonly assumed. in the early part of the war, nobody had incindiary bullets, so they were just shooting lead into the bags which did practically nothing. and once incindiary bullets were used more, the zeps still had a higher cieling than any fighters. the germans were a lot of things, but stupid wasnt one of them.

PS
WWI airships did NOT carry any aircraft EVER, so you dont have to worry about coding plane limits.
