Nice and easy addition for HTC to add into the game. They would include both the Sea Hurricane Mk IIA and Mk IIC the main two Sea Hurricanes. The IIA is the same as the IIC as far as performance with only two differences. It couldnt carry bombs and didnt have the 4 cannons while the Sea Hurricane MK IIC is the same as the regualr IIC. The reason I ask if anything add the IIA so there is something else to up off a CV in Early War instead of the extremely limited a/c available.

I think having the hurri 2c off a carrier would be a bad idea (gameplay)wasnt there a hurri2b had different armament mix of cannon and Mg?

Hurri IIB had 12 .303 MGs, the basic 4-pack in each wing, plus another pair installed a few ribs further out on each wing.

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

YES! I was thinking of asking for it myself a while back, but decided not to. I think I would like the IIB over the IIC.

Sea Hurricanes were used quite a bit on Tin Cans being launched from Catapults to defend Convoys.

No the Hurricat was a Hurricane catapulted from merchant ships to provide air cover. The pilot then had to ditch or bail over the convoy and pray he was picked up.

the hurricanes catapulted off of merchant ships were uesualy war wear mk1s at the end of there usefulness.

 they were one shot wonders

They were brave guys to fly them  nowing that they hade to bale out and hope they get picked up in time before they froze to death in the sea.

no the sea hurricane was  a development of the hurricane for carrier operations,it was equiped with a tail hook and had some extra reinforcment to handel the landings.

the hurricane on a merchant ship that was caapulted off was  a different thing.

All sea hurricanes were "war weary" -- that is they were almost all converted from existing hurricanes. As for "hurricats" being old, worn out planes, they weren't. They were leading edge at the time this took place ('40-'41), along with the Spitfire. They just had more hurricanes to turn into fleet defenders than they did Spitfires.

Most of the many hundreds of Sea Hurricanes had 8x .303 Browning MGs. Only a scant 60 "IIC"s were produced with 4x 20mm Hispano cannon. These were later on in the development. By this time there were also Martlets and whattayacall'ems, RN versions of the Hellcat and Wildcat.
