Hey Bugs, the EWA is not much harder to capture bases in than the other arena's.  They still have Lancasters for the perk hoarding bomber nuts, but the Ju88's and Bostons are very effective bombers.  Additionally, the M-16's can take down a lot of buildings on the ground.  2-3 M-16's and an M-3 is all that is required to take a town.  Our squad had a lot of fun using both of these methods to take 2-3 fields the other night.  They were not milk runs.  We needed a some help to pull it off, but it was very fun, and possibly more satisfying than in the later arenas.

Ran into this late night last night.  Logged into Midwar and there were 6 of us Knits 20 Bish and 18 Rook.

Of course the Knit bases were being rolled, vulch pattern set up etc.  Tried to up at one to slow it down and got vulched twice by the 6 guys in the pattern.

Went from the nearest base to try and get there with some alt and E since 1 on 6 is kinda tough anyway, but they got the field before I could get back.

Naturally the VH and manned ack had been killed before I got there.

Bottom line was there weren't enough of us to make a difference

I have not played much since the change, (not AH related) but did fly in the EW and enjoyed it until the only thing one could fly was a 110.  A1 was being attacked repeatedly, and it was great fun and fair there, until you had to fly a truck against 109s, 190s, spits and so on.  I got off, since flying in an arena where a few numbers can sku the plane set so much, is not for me.
It was just upping kills for the other side.
Is that a game?  Is that the intent?  Me thinks not!  But that is what happened.
Maybe the answer might be, in all arena's, that, underneath  the total allowed in the arena, limit the number that can join a given country until the balance is restored.  Never let the numbers get so out of whack, and maybe that would help.  Allow for some population flux, but don't let the arena get to the point where you are unable to fly almost anything.

After almost 4 years for playing a game that I enjoyed I have decided to take sometime away from it, As it is set up now I've lost all desire to play, not all but alot of my friend that played during the day time have left, not all quit, but not playing, I'm not closing my acount yet but will wait awhile and see what happens. To everyone that I played with over the years HAVE FUN.

 i feel the same way, ill take a break until they start adding somethin new to the game. THe search continues for another game for me to sink my teeth into. Ill just finish up this month first.
