Both the capture and the killing of bin laden are problematic for the US. One makes him a martyr.  The other makes him an excuse for taking hostages.  I propose we turn him over to the Northern Alliance, if possible.  They can give him a trial for war crimes.  Then execute him.  They are Islamic themselves.  And this would give the Arab world a chance to save face, while knowing full well, that he is dead because the US wanted him dead.

he will be a martyr.We just need to go kill all the idiots that worship him as a martyr.

But as it usually goes ,the going after terrorist countries will stop after doing away with bin laden and the taliban.


What I`d like someone explain me:how can Syria and Iran be part of the antiterrorist alliance????

Chances are "ole bin" will die with a pillow over his face, according to some who study Afgan affairs. The price on bin Laden's head is high... and Talibans are not quite as able to protect him from bounty hunters.

I also like the idea of the Northern Alliance capturing, trying and executing bin Laden though. I'd rather not see him "go down fighting". Other than that, I'd like to see him personally killed by US Special Forces.

As long as we get to see it happen or the after effects.  It doesn't make me feel good as a human, but I'd love to see his dead body dragged naked through the streets by our special forces guys.  Bottom line is that I want indisputable proof that he is magot food.  I don't really care who does it.

Easymo's Alliance solution is neat.. as long as there is no chance of escape or subversion of the 'trial'... still; it puts what may be a dangerously pre-mature 'end' to the perceived war on terror onto the table. OBL ain't the entire network, or the entire focus of 'War on Terror'

He may be worth more to us soon 'fictionally alive' than dead... as long as he is 'out there' in the public's mind we will not have much difficulty in maintaining the 'anti-terror' stance internationaly or domesticly. Dead, everybody just sighs a BIG sigh of relief, and the "War on Terror' becomes over in the public's mind.

So; my optimum solution.. Find him; kill him; shut up about it.
