No Score?
« on: September 27, 2006, 07:58:09 AM »
I am doing the 2 weeks trial and I see I have no rank (points). When I do a kill it shows that I shot down (name) but when I land it doesn;t said (name) got 2 kills on (acft type). When I look at the score (rank) it shows me as 0. Is this a bug or is this "no score" during the trial period?

Thanks

Shark, scores are not updated immediately. They take a day to set. Check in a day or so, your score should show up.

cheers,

Also, for a rank to be calculated, you need to have a minimum amount of time playing (or points you got... not sure which). Untill then, youll be ranked 0.

SYSTEM kill message: will only appear when you successfully land two or more kills.

hehe great.

One piece of advice from a non-wise woman: Forget about score/rank and have fun in the game. Rank can be (and is) padded, and not really reflecting skill either.

Only thing i kept (and still keep to an extend) track of is my hit% (how good i shoot). At the beginning, kill/death can also tell you if you have "improoved", but only compare it to yourself, not others. Also, keep in mind that k/d very much depends on your style of flying, choice of fight and plane. Flying a early war plane in Late War Arena, in outnumbered fights or upping at a capped base will naturally lower your score in that respect compared to flying BnZ style and play on "surviving to get home".

Im glad you love the game. I hope you stay with us for a while!

PS: To help with that suckage.... dont forget theres a Training Arena and aTrainer Corps, that just might have the right medicine for that. :)
