Perhaps, 60 days from now, the arena changes will be tweaked to the satisfaction of most. Until then just play the game for the fun of it. A lot of us "old dogs" are learning new tricks. Give it a shot.

Kurt and Grits,

I did not post my views because I had a foolish idea that anything would change. I did so only to voice my views with no tears or anger.
As to why I am staying for 60 days.

I pre-paid my account 6 months at a time by check in person at office, if you pre-pay 6 they give you one month free. So I will stay for the two months just to use up the time I paid for and use up the last month that HITECH gave me for free, well almost for free.

350 arenas seem to help. I saw a couple of large squads on the roster TY  for the dhange.

Can we clarify something.  3 Squads with the same name does not make 1 squad.  It makes 3 squads with the same name.

AH has limited squad size to 32.  That's a squad, not 96 guys in 3 squads cause that's....er....well.....3 Squads.

Suggesting that you should be able to take your 96 'friends' and play in whatever arena you choose, seems silly to me.  Basically what it says is within Aces High, you want your own country and the right to have all your buds there at any given time.

OK so if I start 11 squads with 32 guys each, can I have an arena of my own?  Me and 349 of my closest friends in Flight sims are demanding our rights.

Come on Jolly, relax and remember that there are all kinds of good people in all the arenas.  Many of the folks I enjoy talking to are not in my squad that I purposely limited to 12.  I get shot down by plenty of them too.

But to suggest that you are giving up on the game because you can't have 96 guys in the same arena on the same sideis rediculous.

Jeez, I thought you had everything under control! :)

You obviously lack the organizational and people skills that the rest of these guys have, Gruppy. You're probably one of those traitors who changes sides, or who actually wants to shoot down other people. Weirdo.

Sure, but seriously, if your squad couldn't pull it together across arenas, the problem is with your squad....

I've been playing since 2002, and I was VERY used to the big Main Arena... I hated to see it go..

but my squad THRIVES in the new Early arena and we are having a ball.

If you still want to play, and your old squad fell apart, just find new friends and a new squad man, don't quit.

There are friends in EVERY Main Arena.  Just take the time to meet them.

My guys are in the link in the sig.

I don't like to be agreeable, but that's a good point I haven't seen a great deal since the changes. There are good people on every country, in every arena, at every hour. Sure, there are some sweetheartbags, but they are a minority.

And yeah, if your squaddies won't switch to another arena to fly with you, the problem's not the arena or the planeset- it's you. Trust me on this one.

Well the squad I'm in isn't THAT big, we skate right on the 32 person limit.

We rolled into Midwar last night, ended up captureing 3 fields, had an awesome fight with some CV launch AC up north, ended up sinking the CV & calling it a night. We had NO problems with ENY, sides were a bit short for the rooks, but pretty balanced with knights & Bishops.

I flew for an hour and a half, died a few, landed a few, and had more fun than I've had in ages.  If your not having fun, maybe you need to change something?

Midwar evenings are a blast, but we need more squads who are willing to change size to even odds.

The first two weeks of the change were ****ing awesome! Everyone was in the EW arena and there were great fights in there.

Then it all died and everyone just ends up in LW making it much the same as the old MA.

The cap doesn't bother me, i'm off peak so it never reaches anywhere near 350.

The only change i've noticed is a massive decrease in LA dweebs. it's starting to come back up again, but I never get gang-banged by packs of them anymore, so that's good.

With the death of large squads so goes being able to take base durning prime playing times.

that is a bunch of crap.i remember playin AH in 2001 and we took bases just fine with 1/2 the people involved.Anybody else remember those ROCKSTARR missions?in those days there were 100 bishops, 36 rooks and 40 knights.
