FRAPS Help
« on: October 01, 2006, 11:20:25 AM »
Hey guys, just downloaded FRAPS and taken a few movies (attempting to make a BoB Film) But its all jumpy and not at all smooth like the films ive seen in here. The FPS is at 60 (full) so can anybody tell me how to make a nice SMOOTH film?

I'd have a better chance in running into a Dodo Bird in the middle of rush hour, walking down the I-5 with two hookers in tow before I see a useful post from glock89- Ack-Ack

Are you recording in-game with Fraps or are you recording while watching it in the AH Film Viewer?

If you are recording w/ Fraps outta the film viewer, it's gonna be a bit jumpy if you don't have a fairly decent cpu.  Video work is a huge burden on a system.  I have a 1.5 GHz P4 & mine are always a little jumpy.  Also, turn off as many non-essential processes as possible to take some load off the cpu.  Defraging your harddrive prior to starting a video project also will help w/ the studders.

lower the record level to 29.5  that works good  and takes up less space and less strain on your cpu and system.
like th others said dont run anything else shut down everything you can before u try filming
