I was also there, it was a good show, not quite as good as the one at the reserve base ( old carswell ) but it was still good, the reserve base had the blue angels and the army golden knights as well as a lockhead martin test pilot making the F16 dance like no other... good pics, was a good show

Raider,

What time was the F-15 demo? That must have happened before I got there because I'm not deaf today. :D

It was as definately a great show. Lots of action.

Glad you guys are enjoying the pics.

Breaking the sound barrier is a incident?

Because it may hurt the crowds ears?

The cockpit cooling system in Thunderbird 2 had problems, so he put it down and switched over to the spare bird.

It took a while to switch planes, but I'm glad he did so they could put on a full 6 ship show.

If the F-15 actually boke the sound barrier, I wouldn't doubt there were several broken windows in the parking lot..

Was that demo early in the day?

well it my not have broken the sound barrier but the extremely loud high speed pass combined with the pyro going off made a extremely loud noise, how did you find out what  the problem was?

FYI: I parked for free:D

Actually Raider I think what you heard was a simulated gun firing. The damn thing sounds like the sky ripping open. They did this saturday with pyros exploding in the grass to look like 20mm hits.

I don't know if the gun noise was simulated somehow or if the f15 actually fired blanks. Great effect though.:aok

Raider..

I heard the announcer talking about what was going on with Thunderbird 2.. Thats how I found out..

The small blue plane you saw taking off was an A-4 Skyraider..
