Thankx Wolfala, was really concerned about the Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset

it is 256 meg addon card, but not sure how good it is

I've got a Thinkpad Z60m that runs the game at 50fps at 1650x1080, full notches, 1024 skins.

It's pretty sweet. I don't use it much because I like my DT better... GeForce 7900 GTX with 512 Mb.  rowr!

I would not touch an Intel video chip with a ten foot pole, if it is a system I am going to game with.

Of course, I would not touch a laptop either.  All the power management circuits in the newer CPU's for laptops make it pretty difficult to get smooth game play from them.

I just had a test run with my new laptop and AH2 tonight. As long as the power management is turned off (= power "always on", profile a desktop instead of laptop) the game plau was smooth.

However, I have a wide screen display (1680x1050) in my laptop... and it is a huge pity that AH cuts off the top and the bottom of the normal view instead of adding some extra to the sides :(

Thus flying with laptop can only be a temporary solution for me. I rather fly with my desktop and 1280x1024 resolution.

I as well don't like this. I have a 20" widescreen LCD gathering dust because of the problem with the views in AH... went back to the 19" 4:3.

lucky you!, I was asked to put forth a list of components for my laptop, I also requested an Ati 256 meg card, was even told I got what I ordered, but found out other wise after the fact I had 3/4s of my software loaded, that is what one gets for asuming you get what you ask for.........ROFL..........

oh well, back to desktop, hope I got it all fixed from my ID10T error.............

You may want to check the order, I've read that Dell did do some switches at the factory and didn't install the higher graphics card even though requested and paid for.

I have the 9400 w/2GB and 2.4 GHz.  I don't play AH on it, but America's Army runs good.  It is my travel / office system so the joystick is too much to pack.  I also upgraded to the 7900gs and the Audigy sound card.
