This is the only way to deal with the situation, imho.  I still can't believe the pope apologized.  My response would have been a request to show where the pope misspoke.  If Islam is the peaceful religion we are being told it is, why does Jihaad seem to be such a fundamental exercise of it?  Or are the jihaadists in error?  If Islam wants a debate let's have at it.  All I can see, though, is that they don't want a debate.  The clerics want to shut down every opposing viewpoint without regard to what point is being made.  WTG Norway.  (the hausfrau is half norwegian and half italian.)

They've done some nice 1-year documentaries here too. It's pretty amusing to have the documentary guy sit there and ask "what have we learned?" while the offending cartoons are cycled through on a screen behind him.

That's Danish culture. Bit more subtle than the American one, but accomplishes the same thing.
