Nah, it wasn't an attack.  It was a question from the black guy saying it was a concern that Chris Bell comes across as boring and unexciting.

Ok, 50 mins into the debate I've heard enough.

Perry - Republican tool.  At least he comes off as non-rehearsed.  But nothing else new here.  $4000 - $5000 in electricity in the Guv'nah's mansion per month and it's "ok"?  I think no, and neither is he.

Kinky - Heads above the rest in an honest answer to a question.  His bringing up the 'trina refuse-ee's committing 20% of the murders here in Houston, the only candidate to even talk about it.  That alone get's my vote.  May be un-PC but that's exactly what I liked about him.

Bell - Your typical Democrat tool.  Took a page right out of the Al Snore playbook.  Nothing new, completely rehearsed...including his body language.  This is the best the 'crats could do??

Grandma - Dodged too many questions and talked about herself in the third person.  The last one alone eliminates her from this race in my book.

I already did! ;)

Had to Tivo the debate because of work. About to pour an adult beverage and watch it right now.

BTW a little info on Belo. They are the broadcasters that yanked "Saving Private Ryan" when ABC ran it on Memorial Day and put "Hoosiers" on in it's place. SPR had offensive language and was too violent.

Hey Rpm - since you have it recorded...can you go back and get a rough transcript or synopsis of the questions asked to each of the candidates?

I didn't record it, but I got this "odd" feeling that the questions were pretty biased.; partially to the fact that I had to listen to half of it, and not being able to watch it. The three challengers had to answer questions which I thought had negative connotations put in, while Mr. Perry's questions seemed to have a lot of positive praise used in their phrasing...except one of the final questions Perry had to answer, which seemed to put him on the defensive.

at least that was my impression of the questions.

BTW - was it all "belo" affiliate reporters that were the ones asking the questions?

my highlights of the debate - Kinky asking Chris Bell about "why there was only one debate, and why it was on a friday night of ut-OU weekend"

and then....

grandma

 -  "I'll take el presidente of mexico for $50, Alex" :D

Grandma didn't want to answer the questions.  It was always, "With a Strahorn administration blah blah blah..."

Kinky's final statement was by far the winning factor.  No hype, no colorful double-speak, no BS.  And when he defined "politics"...

"Let's look at the word.  'Poly' meaning 'more than one or an abundance'.  And 'tick' a 'blood sucking bug'."

Bullseye!

so kinky thinks that the katrina scum are...... scum?   and... he admits that politicians... himself... are blood sucking pigs?

He can talk dirty and write songs too and looks weathered...

He is also a socialist who will raise your taxes and continue to protect the public school system from any competition,

But... he can be fun to watch...  He isn't PC..

jon stewart is funny and rude too.... maybe he should be president?

I hope kinky lets you guys keep at least single barreled shotguns "for hunting"....... so long as they are registered and locked up somewhere that you can't get to em.

The man will raise your taxes and take away your freedoms to "help" the poor...  If you are poor and never plan to get any better...you should vote for him.   after all... what have you got to lose?
