Ok, let me clarify. I, personally, will not touch it with a ten foot pole. I still have Windows 2000 on my office system and have no trouble supporting XP.
While I am all for anti-piracy, the scheme MS has in mind is far more intrusive than I care for and like most things MS, the story they are giving is not the entire story. I can see some serious intrusion being done from MS.
wooley, American business will have no choice but to adopt Vista if they want to continue thier support contracts with MS. Pretty much covers the Fortune 500 companies.
Yes, Vista is the only way you will get DirectX 10. It will not be available for any other Microsoft OS. The initial DX10 games will not run on any other version of DirectX. The developers appear to have been persuaded to do it that way (knudge-knudge-wink-wink).
