questions on editing the registry....
« on: October 07, 2006, 07:13:49 PM »
in the course of chasing down the dll's I found multiple registry entries in the LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTYM\ related to CONTROLSET\ENUM\ROOT\LEGACY

Since DC Pro linked them to the drivers in question I'm guessing this might be the source of my problem. Whats best utility or way to research and take care of them?

Humble, I use "Driver Cleaner Pro". It is a freeware utility that will remove all files and registry entries relate to the drivers you are uninstalling. You uninstall drivers in the control panel then reboot in safe mode and use "DCP" to get rid of all the junk left behind.

Here is a link to there homepage: http://www.drivercleaner.net/ Or you can get it at guru3d.com...a great place for all kinds of video related stuff.
