No, it's us westerners who think we can make the people of Iraq forget thousands of years of tribal conflicts, loyalities and property claims.
Why people seem to think that just because they think they're ritious in their actions that a culture and it's history of conflict can be changed and that change will be accepted by the populace is bewildering to me. Then those same people feign ritious indignation when these changes are rejected.
I truly don't think that there's a single sole in this administration who has the mental capacity to realize that curing these tribal differences MUST come from within and any 'help' from outsiders < christians > has very little chance of being effective, especialy in the long run.
