Um, WTF?!? My wings NEVER fall off, I ALWAYS instantly die when the fire is done, no matter WHAT plane I am in...

If you only have a plane that gets fuselage fires, that's what happens. The number of fighters with wing tanks is a small percentage of the total (in AH I mean).

Same happens in Goons, B17s, B24s, B26s, Ju-88s... the list goes on...

ACtually, I had a fire in an F4U-1D that made my wing go poof. D-hogs only have the centerline tank.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.
