Each individual should donate whatever he wants to chip in.  I'd like to raise about $250-$275 total before starting the Battle of Britain patch run.

I'd have a better chance in running into a Dodo Bird in the middle of rush hour, walking down the I-5 with two hookers in tow before I see a useful post from glock89- Ack-Ack

We're pretty far from enough to do a patch run.  The account is at $45.10, and about $250 is needed to do a patch run.  I'm thinking that there might not be enough interest to do a BoB run and that the next patch run will be whatever the next scenario is (such as Pearl Harbor).

Here's the patch page:

I haven't put the patches in to the patch-production company yet.  I was waiting to get closer to the cost of the run.

I'll send out an e-mail to the BoB 2006 participants to see if more are interested in chipping in for patches.

Macleod, let's see how that pans out before you shoulder more than your share of it.

I sent out the following to all registrants of Battle of Britain 2006:

Hello, pilots of Battle of Britain 2006.

Although this scenario ran a while back (September, 2006), there are people interested in getting the following turned into a patch, like how we got patches produced for Operation Downfall, Stalin's Fourth, Fire Over Malta, Coral Sea, and Rangoon, '42.

To do this, though, we need to raise about $250 to do a patch run and to mail the patches out.

If you are interested in a patch and if you are interested in donating to get this done, you can use Paypal.com to send a donation to brookep2 at electraforge.com -- I'm the one handling the money side of it and handling getting the patches produced if there is enough interest.

For more details on how this donation system works, please see http://www.electraforge.com/brooke/flightsims/patches/patches.html  That page also shows what the previous patches looked like once they were done.

Best regards,

-- Brooke

Thanks to a large donation from Nurminen, the patch-production process has begun!

I will post the patch proof here once I get it back.

Brooke,
Next time you get a donation frtom me, I expect you to put it in the patch fund, not make a car payment! If I did not wish to contribute, I would not, and besides, it messes up my book keeping.

Once the patches are done, I'll announce it here, show people what it looks like, remind them where to send e-mail to get one, and e-mail the same info out to the participant e-mail list from BoB 2006.

This will all be in about 2-3 weeks from now (depends on how speedy the patch-production company is and how much wrangling it takes to get the patch to look right).
