I believe the BeAPilot program shares contact info with industry partners. If you have a medical--especially a 3rd class/student cert, folks may be using that publicly available info to gets qualified leads.

When you say King Aviation, you talking about King Schools , the empire John and Martha King built? They're prolly trying to sell you something--like a video course.

If you want your address information removed from the online database (the way I'd guess most get their info?) all you need to do is create an account and contact the folks in charge.

They'll respond fairly quickly (less than a day for me) saying they put in a code that will hide my address information.

Kudos to both of you. It's a dying avocation.

Either of you members of AOPA? Their Flight Training feature isn't a bad resource for students. They also are pairing up mentors with students to try and improve the completion rate for those starting training.

Rather than doing it piecemeal, I wish I'd just bought a block of time and gotten it done in one fell swoop rather than taking years to complete.

I did join AOPA. One thing for me is I work at a Job that allows me to study alot. I work nights , and I'm the supervisor. 3-11:30 p.m.. So I have time to do quite a bit of studying.

The flight time is more of a hassle getting than the study time. Life tends to get in the way quite a bit. But I get to do a bit of flying. GOt a few more hours til I can solo. I just love flyiing tho. Very cool and tons of fun.

Knowing my instructor for 21 years also helps.
