Curling...

I am happy to say that I am learning the sport of "Curling"...I went down to the new rinks built the town over from where I live for some stick time, and I saw a curling arena!  I was interested, so I checked it out, and I have two practices under my belt!  Its great!  Does anyone have any experience with this sport, because I would love to chat about it and grab some tips!  thanks

Well, if Curling is an olympic sport - then Oral Sex should be an olympic sport.

Track and field, then blowjobs.

Could get Budweiser to sponsor that ****.

Please dont judge until you have actually tried it, and can put stones any position in the house 100% of the time =)

I tried it once through a buddy's work's christmas party.  They held it at the local curling club.  I don't have any tips for you, except to back you up and say it was a fun time.  It's extremely difficult to get the right distance on your shots; the left/right/spin is a lot easier.  You can actually get an arm workout doing the sweeping, too.  Good times, recommend it to anyone who gets the chance.  Plus it's fun to slide around on the ice like you're skateboarding (you get one shoe that's slippery and another that has grip).

They had some interesting trivia.  Apparently the stones the Detroit club uses were being shipped to the US during WWII and their ship was sunk somewhere near Britain... close enough for them to salvage the stones, which are incredibly expensive.  I guess all of the curling granite comes from a specific quarry in Scotland that's only opened every few years when they have enough orders to justify it.  So the Detroit club is still using their WWII era stones, as they apparently last just about forever.

Curling is an extremly difficult sport cav. I tried it and the ice still has inprints off my face in places. They tried to lay new ice but the indentations were just too deep for the ice to fix.

I have Curled a few times.  It is fun, my advice, don't take it too serious and enjoy it.

Also, limit your number of pints so you don't grow a 'Curlers Gut':D

I played in Vermont when I lived there, and out here in Colorado until the club closed owing to an emminent domain claim.  I enjoyed it immensely and would play still if it was available without a 90 minute drive!  The required alcohol to go along with it makes the trip to chancey otw home!
I regret doing business with TD Computer Systems.
