Author Topic: Can I copy AH across my network (Read 681 times)

My son has been practicing off line and wants to try his 2 weeks online.

His version is now out of date.

can I copy my (latest)version directly into the same place in his pc or do we have to download it from HTC when he logs in?

If I can copy from mine to his, is there any thing I should "watch" for.

What version is he running? HTC has patches available to go to the newer versions. You can just download and run the patch.

It would be better to patch the game properly if you can. I think we can work that out. Copying yours may work, but it could screw up his settings. Better to upgrade the way HTC intended.

If your version of AH is patched via AutoUpdater there are all those UpDate files (AH1061-1062.exe or something like that, At work now) you'll need in HTC/Aces High folder.

I copied the Htc folder and all it's contents aand subfolders from the Program Files folder across my network to another PC's Program Files folder. It worked just fine staring by double clicking on AcesHigh.exe in the Aces High folder. Then I just created a shortcut and put it on the desktop. Now I just have to wait and see what happens when I need to install the next update/patch.

Copy the files accross to the othe P.C. Go to add/remove programs on control panel, and hit the "install" button, then browse to the AH.exe. That should set the paths in the registry. The update patches will install fine, although AH isn't so big a download as we're used to from AW that you could just download the whole thing fresh.

I take it your son's machine doesn't have internet access (is that why he was on your in Nieman?), but should he have it, you could of course always log on to AH from his machine your self to auto update.
