Your hatred towards France is petty and pathetic.

If a Frenchman came here to make a list of all the shortcomings of your country, it would be an ultra flamefest. And before you say anything, yes they can find lots.

Are you still living in 1940? The rest of us are passing 2006 fast.

Not that I like France too much either, they can be arrogant salamanders.. Still I find this kind of posting a bit tasteless. Freedom fries.. gimme a break :rofl

Yeah but repeating them for 50 years tells something.

I've always wondered why ppl take France issues so personal, as if they did something horrible to personally offend everyone. In fact if I understood right, it was simply a few biased writings in the media during some political disagreement.

The genesis of the mass hatred or perceived hatred stems from the WWII veterans accounts of how the French treated them after the liberation of France from the Nazi's.  On the list of who treated the American liberator's the worst was France.  Some of this is documented in "Biggest Brother" the life story of Maj. Dick Winters and I think only touched up in "Band Of Brothers" the story of Easy Company.  The only part of France, according to those reports, that treated the Allied army with any real appreciation were the people in the Normandy area IIRC.

There was also that small matter of making the F-111's go around the Cotentin peninsula in '86.  I know, small matters, but an issue none-the-less.
