Maybe they are closing it down. Perhaps they have finally figured out that religion is the way to go and that searching for life outside earth is pointless.

Don't think they find any, but yet...maybe?

There are some distances to deal with you see, so if we'd finally find signals, the civilization that sent them is probably dead, or way ahead....
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Mars = too cold, and notably, - too light.
Same to the moon
Venus...too hot.
Earth....too wobbly most of the time to support intelligent life. Hasn't been on the radio technologi or Seti level for any time at all, and is on a good road to taking itself down the drain if nature doesn't beat it to it...
We're always speaking very long distances for the calculated chance,  - something like thousands of years away....

For us yes. What if the aliens feed on cold and UV radiation? They would thrive. Maybe they live 100km below the surface.

Aliens could under the ice on Europa.

There is no intelligent life in the universe. If there were, how would we even recognize it? ;)

And if that is not enough...

Yep, I think we are covered. :D

Seriously, my guess would be SETI lost its funding.
