I must admit, I am extremely pissed off with the Republican's in my state. Our three GOP US Congressmen/women are all within top 10 of being most leftist Republican's, and Chris Shay's (my congressman) may very well be the biggest RINO in the country! I went to Chris Shay's debate the other night, and he made me sick...To save face, and appease democrat's he pull's out his voting records and tells everyone that he is 54% liberal, 46% conservative. Yes, Connecticut is extremely liberal, but come on Shay's....
What really pisses me off is how the party has treated Alan Schlesinger. Alan is the Republican nomination for US Senate. aside from some baggage her carries from previous years about gambling (and I think he could have treated that situation much better), he is a very strong republican, which I think the state needs...Unfortunately no one supports him! Not the White House! Not even our Republican Governor Jodi Rell. As most of you know, we have a three war race here in the state. Ned Lamont (dem), Joe Lieberman (incumbant/ind-dem) and Schlesinger (R). In a three way race, this is the one of the best shot's the GOP has to elected a Republican Senator to an inherintly blue state...But no...They tell us to rally around Lieberman. Yea, Joe Lieberman isnt a bad guy. But Joe Lieberman doesnt stand for the same principles myself or most Republican's believe in. So heres the choices...100% liberal, moveon.org Ned Lamont. 90% liberal Joe lieberman...or ideal Republican candidate alan schlesinger, who doesnt have a chance.....Well I am going with Schlesinger. Contrary to popular belief, a vote for Schlesinger is NOT a vote for Ned Lamont. A vote for Schlesinger is a vote for Schlesinger, plain and simple. Even though Alan has zero chance of winning (thanks to the GOP), I will support him to show that there are still some Republicans in this ridicilous state that actually support idea's and issues...Not just voting for the lesser of two evils to keep crazy ned out...
argh...
