places to eat in miami?
« on: October 19, 2006, 10:59:36 AM »
I have 5 days...  any great places to eat in the miami beach area?  I can drive for something nice within reason.

Also,  anything in particular I should do?  Any must see or do's?

you may want to forego joe's it's very pricey and not all that good.   if you have the cash and want to say you've been there.....

lets break this down..

If you were going to spend 5 days in Miami and wanted to enjoy the experience as much as possible where would you go and what places would you eat at?

P.S.  is there any good fishing?

I guess it depends on what you want Rabid.  I myself wouldn't go for Joe's, either. although you probally wouldn't be disappointed.  You can find this all over the country.

I recommend that you try something different than what you know... if you can...

... there are so many excellent fish and sushi places that I'm sure you would'nt be disappointed if you threw a dart at the yellow pages....

If you want to go fishing, I recommend looking up a headboat in the yellow pages under, FISHING, when you get there.  You can go out for 4 hrs,  8 hrs, or for several days.

I eat almost anything so if its good I won't be disapointed.  I'm wondering if folks know of something that stands out.  Whats famous and deserves it?  Speaking of sushi...  anything really good there?

PM me maybe frau storch and I can meet up with you tomorrow.  we can pick you up or meet you some place and we can take you to some cuban place for lunch or early dinner.  as far as fishing go up to the north beach (haulover just ask for it by that name) and go out on one of the party boats if you like that see about a charter.  i'd offer to take you but we are rebuilding the engine on our boat currently.

My impression was that the best place to eat in Miami was not actually in Miami.
