Stealing a point from the thread on .303's:

How about adding some detail to the damage model. As it is, having a bunch of holes in your wings counts against the "max damage" you can sustain before the wing breaks off, but otherwise has no effect on performance.

So how about this, as the wing takes damage, control and lift degrades until it gets to the point where the wing may still be attached, but may no longer keep you in the air.

Same thing with damage to control surfaces, etc. It may not actually be completely blown off, but becomes less and less effective.

well Schatzi said and i belived tested the the wing can rip off easier in a dive or be able to take less G's before structural failure.
