Tank battles are pretty much a thing of the past. The current map selection makes them impossible. I can't take these maps anymore. They aren't fun. I'm cancelling my sons account (he hasn't played in over a month). I'll keep mine for another month only to check out the special events. I've tried to find a way to have fun in the new arena's and it just isn't working. When I do get on the game, I'm the only one on our squad channel, and it doesn't matter what you're doing, if you're doing it by yourself it's not much fun.

I'm going to make a good faith effort to get more involved in special events/scenarios while avoiding the MA. Maybe taking part in missions where there is a plan, winner, and loser. If I can't get into that, then I'll drop my account too.

I was all for the new arenas until I couldn't find a tank fight, or a squaddie to fly with. Apparently Hitech decided to cater to the "squad of one" types or the mega-hordes, with everyone else providing the fodder.

Interesting that you only want to fly with squaddies. There are alot of really good people in the arenas to fly with. I am with the 80th Headhunters and we have just a 12 man squad (the Dirty Dozen) and when none are on I find plenty of great folks to fly with.

Just my .02 but seems the limiting factor in the game for you... is you.

Anyway if your on and looking for someone to fly with look me up.... or if you like killing 38s look me up... :)

You have to watch having a negative opinion in here, I fly with squaddies almost exclusivly, we arent a big squad, yet we still get seperated by this new setup.

I think perhaps what has happend is certain maps didnt have much base taking until the wee hours in the morning and you end up with one big green blob going from base to base, or you couldnt take one...personaly I like having a huge amount of people on, and will miss it until the ole' account runs out...:(...obviously the grand old days have passed and ill have to shufflt bettween the two MA's just like everyone else, now that the attention on winning resets is split bettween two rooms I sense my attachment to this game loosening a bit-------->8 player here I come!

My squad was allready talking about trying to get Lock-on going, I guess the time is upon us.......

Ya know, flying in a group isn't dead. Call out to those on the country you happen to be flying for and ask if any one wants a mission. All you need is 5-6 people to start working together and and next thing you know you'll have the best battle going on in an arena.

Instead of sitting around "being negitive" try making some fun ! 2 squadies and 4 countrymen can make a pretty good war.... or is it too much trouble to "make" fun?

I was in the MWA and the only one in my squad on.

You know what I did? I seen another squad online and tagged with them. Guess what, I had fun. You dont need your own squad online to have fun, just up and do something

I also see GV action going away, some of the new maps have spawn points so far apart that it take 30 minutes to get near a base, maybe HT will change it but I'll wait and see. Like to see what would happen if you had to fly for 30 minute to get to a fight every time. I like to fly some but GV's are what I prefer.

all of you guys just dont get it do ya. his point like so many others is quite simple. he has his squad (friends) that he likes to play this game with.
i have gotten to know alot of people since i started playing, but i feel the same way. i have a certain group of people i like to fly with. i guess those blasting him just dont get what its like to have a tight group of guys to enjoy this with. pretty sad thing, cause you dont know what youre really missing out on.

Agreed. I was just starting to explore the GV end of things when the changes hit.

I don't GV much .. but maybee the spawn points are farther away from the enemy base to discourage the enemy GVs from spawn camping?..

why would they want to drive 30 minutes to sit and wait more.?

just a thought..I'm full of em .. and they are taking up valuable space in my head.:rolleyes:

Does the same thing when it comes to Attacking a base, GV have to start 20 minutes before the aircraft to get to the same base. That long drive is not fun just like a long filght in a fighter is boring. yes thats what I said ... by the spawn point being FARTHER from the enemy base  
they may be less likely to camp where you spawn.

If you were to spawn closer to the enemy base then (SHOCKER) they wouldn't have to drive so far to camp your spawn.

I have been thinking of starting TANK KLUBB back up.I don't know if you attended that or  not when we ran it before, but it was a blast.people who were INterested in GV's would come into the DA and learn a variation of things such as strategy's in a tank, how and where to shoot a tiger tank, manuvering in a column with other tanks, the application and usage of smoke, etc.

If you are interested let me know because a couple of other TANKERS want to start back up.
